Sigh...
Bloggin two tines a day - is it because i'm new to it? that it is a novelty to blog?....i dunno really.....sigh....i'm sighing so much these days....except in school....where i'm more concerned over my toe that anything else.....
.....the perfects investiture was.....hmm....very odd.....seen teens in school blazers playing the drum, guitar? No? well.......i can't exactly comdemme the whole thing because Ben is in it......never heard him sound sooo serious before...
i read in adriel's blog that 'Its as if the clouds mourn in bereavement over the loss of Samuel's guitar. To others, it isnt really a loss; it was nothing more than a chip that broke off leaving a 5-cent large scar on the surface on his guitar but to Samuel, the whole thing is as good as gone. How did this all happen? The last 2 periods was taken up by the prefects investiture, which I will flame later on, and when it ended, almost everyone left the Concert Hall. So I had MR and had to stay back. Since I had nothing better to do, I offered to help the on-duty MR crew to pack up which was when this awful tragedy arised. One of the Sec 1 boys was packing up the stuff near the instruments and he somehow knocked over Samuel's Fender 1.5k electric guitar.
Samuel came in much later and there was much blaming and anger. The Sec 1 boy was frightened to the verge of tears which he did not hesistate to release later. I don't know what happened soon after as I searched for Eric Loh to inform him about what happened. Long story short, Eric Loh spoke to their parents over the phone, reasoned with Samuel and the Sec 1 boy who were both in tears and told the Sec 1 boy that he didnt have to pay for the damages because he was on official MR duty and it was an accident. EL also called his friend who told him that it would cost about a hundred bucks to repair the scarred guitar.
EL also told Samuel that he wasnt entirely faultless as he should have came back earlier to pack up his guitar instead of waiting until much later to do so. Rico also added that he should have fastened his guitar to something should it fall free from the guitar stand which what exactly happened. It fell flat face down if I might add.
I could sense the contempt in Samuel's voice when he said, "Great. Now I'm gonna get a repaired guitar". Though it may only be superficial, the guitar means a lot to Samuel. You wouldnt want your child to fall and have a scar for life would you? I really hope Samuel gets over this quickly. After all, it might have been much worse. He should be thankful that at least the damage was only superficial and did not affect the sound quality. I guess we should all be more careful with our belongings in future and not leave them lying around especially with careless people knocking things over.'...poor sam....
....this really made me think about the investiture.....it was as if it was so fake....inviting other perfects from other schools to impress them.....although i thought that we really blew it....all that booing and such....sigh...i really hope that this years prefectorial council will be less corrupt that the last....not all the prefects though....i know some of them....not all are corrupt......really....most of the prefects come from the UYO groups....ohhh...no...not because UYO is the best nooooo but because that most of the last few prefectorial boards were all mainly from UYOs......see any connection?
